Overview
Now in its second year, the Capital Cardiovascular Conference (C3) has earned a reputation for its dynamic, highly effective all-live case approach. The live case method offers medical professionals unparalleled opportunities to learn about the latest techniques and technology in endovascular therapy. In addition to focusing on live cases—approximately 20 hours of procedures will be telecast from American and European medical institutions—C3 features accompanying commentary by world-renowned experts as well as several didactic lectures. Attendees will increase their knowledge exponentially by participating in this comprehensive educational experience.
Live Cases
- Cervicocerebral Interventions
- Structural Heart Disease
- Complex Coronary Interventions
- Lower Extremity Revascularization
- Peripheral Interventions
Other Highlights
- Demonstrations of advanced techniques using approved and investigational interventional devices
- Sessions on clinical issues in cardiovascular practice, such as the management of carotid artery stent patients and how to choose devices for best results
- Analyses of anticoagulant therapy in coronary and peripheral vascular interventions
- High-risk coronary intervention case reviews
Who Should Attend?
C3 is an excellent opportunity for interventional cardiologists, interventional radiologists and vascular surgeons who are looking for high-level education that demonstrates advanced coronary, peripheral and carotid interventions.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, the physician should be able to:
-
Relate the results of clinical trials to daily interventional practice in the areas of cardiovascular and structural heart disease;
-
Describe new interventional techniques in complex endovascular, carotid and coronary interventions;
-
Discuss the use of approved and investigational devices for cardiovascular intervention
-
Understand the most recent advances in the diagnosis of carotid and peripheral vascular diseases;
-
Integrate appropriate pharmacologic management into the pre- and post-procedural treatment of patients undergoing interventional therapy, eg anticoagulants, antiplatelets, statins, angiotensin receptor blockers, etc;
-
Appropriately integrate new technologies to make complex cardiovascular interventions safer;
-
Describe the importance of appropriate imaging in the cath lab including angiographic imaging, IVUS and CT.
