Jose Almeida, M.D., FACS, RVT, founder of the Miami Vein Center, is a pioneer in endovenous vein therapies and a recognized leader in the field. Dedicated to teaching others the latest techniques, he is a frequent speaker, panelist and workshop director at medical meetings. In 2003 Dr. Almeida founded the International Vein Congress (IVC), a leading educational symposium that annually brings together several hundred physicians and industry professionals from around the world.

Co-Directors

Edward G. Mackay, M.D., FACS, founder of the Mackay Vein Institute, is known for his ongoing evaluation of emerging endovenous technologies and in 1999 became the first physician in the Southeast to offer treatments such as RF closure. Dr. Mackay is a co-director of the widely acclaimed International Vein Congress.

Julian Javier, M.D., FACC, FSCAI, FCCP, founder of the Naples Vein Center and director of Naples Cardiac & Vascular Specialists, both in Southwest Florida, is an authority on the latest developments in the treatment of vein disease. He is a seasoned practitioner and sought-after speaker who serves as a faculty member for the International Vein Congress.
