CME Mission Statement

The purpose of the overall CCM CME Program is to provide quality educational experiences using proven planning methods that are responsive to the needs of our target audience, relevant to their practice, and increase their knowledge and skills in delivering patient care.

Content focus areas will be interventional medicine, cardiovascular medicine, surgery, nephrology, neurology, and oncology with a concentration on the newest technologies and techniques and management issues in those areas. Individual CME activities are developed based on thorough assessments of professional practice gaps that inform the needs assessment, which in turn illuminate the educational content of activities. Content includes an emphasis on quality standards and patient safety and changing practice patterns.

The CCM CME program will target physicians and other medical professionals who specialize in cardiology, neurology, oncology, surgical specialties such as general, cardiothoracic, and orthopedic surgery, and interventional specialties such as interventional cardiology, vascular surgery, interventional radiology, interventional neurology, and interventional nephrology. CCM’s educational activities also address interdisciplinary medical approaches to patient care, and have an enduring focus on innovations in medicine and education.

CME activities will be presented in the form of live conferences and hands-on training sessions, with an added emphasis on the use of technology to expand and enhance the learning process. The result of the CCM CME program will be physicians with updated and improved knowledge, competence, and performance which can be applied to improve patient care and outcomes.
